Artificial intelligence: a multiplier of balance or of imbalance?

AI amplifies whatever it is given: clarity or confusion, care or exploitation. Chapter 13 of the white paper proposes ten commandments for an Equiconscist AI.

Chapter 13

The Ten Commandments of Equiconscist AI

The “you” refers to every person who designs, deploys, directs, or uses an AI system.

  1. You shall put AI at the service of human dignity and the living world, never the reverse.
  2. You shall keep decisions and responsibility in human hands—identifiable and accountable.
  3. You shall tell the truth about the machine: what it is, what it does, what it does not know.
  4. You shall manipulate neither minds nor emotions; you shall protect attention.
  5. You shall respect the privacy and consent of every person.
  6. You shall make AI fair: you shall track down its biases and serve the most vulnerable first.
  7. You shall use AI with measure: sparing with energy and resources, proportionate to its usefulness.
  8. You shall make human capacities grow instead of letting them wither: thinking, learning, creating, connecting.
  9. You shall share the power and the value that AI creates: no monopoly, no dependency, but a common good.
  10. You shall keep your hand on the off switch: safety, human control, vigilance in the face of risk, and the service of peace.

“AI requires a leadership upgrade, not a software upgrade.”

David Fiorucci, interview conducted by Dave Drodge, March 28, 2026

“The fundamental question is not ‘How powerful will AI become?’ but ‘How conscious will we be in using it?’”

David Fiorucci

The encyclical Magnifica Humanitas (2026) converges with several of these criteria—human responsibility, transparency, measure, the common good—without formulating “commandments”; those are the sole responsibility of the white paper.
